I reach in,
With nervous hands.
Deep inside,
And pull out a fast beating heart.
Trembling,
I hold my hands open as it rests on my palms.
My breath is caught as she sees my offer.
Her hands close around mine,
Gently push towards my chest,
And my heart is restored.
My memories confuse me,
and my own sigh of relief comes as a surprise.
I walk away,
and smile.
Going to start including the time taken for each poem after this one just for personal interest, forgot to time this one.
